What is Guardianship?
Guardianship is a practical and moral support system for young students studying abroad in a foreign country, away from their natural parents.
It reassures students, their parents, and the schools they attend that if a student needs additional care, support, or assistance, somebody nearby can and will help.
Who needs Guardianship?
- International students under 18 are considered minors in China and must have a legal guardian while studying there. This requirement is based on Chinese laws and regulations for international minor students to ensure their safety and well-being during their stay in China. On the other hand, minor students under 18 do not need a local guardian if their parents relocate to China.
- Guardians provide essential support and supervision, ensuring the well-being and safety of minor students during their educational experience abroad. At Alifa Ed-tech, we emphasize the importance of accredited guardianship services to guarantee the highest standards of care and support.

We offer two levels of guardianship:
Full Guardianship
Our full Guardianship provides the highest level of supervision and progress monitoring available. This thorough service gives your child the support they need to reach their full potential while away from home. It is ideal for long-term students, those in high-school graduation programs, or those needing to validate their studies.
Basic Guardianship
Basic Guardianship is suitable for students who require a more limited level of care than we offer in our full guardianship package.
Students can apply for our Basic guardianship if they are:
- Between 14-18 years old.
- Enrolled in a boarding school (part-time or full-time).
- Enrolled in a Day-school.
- Has no local guardian.
- Natural parents did not relocate to China.
